Part-Time Morning Teacher

Location: Teach Peace Preschool & Childcare, 6300 A Street, Lincoln, Nebraska
Schedule: Core hours 2-3 days per week on M/W/F 7:15am–12:15pm; weekly hours 10–25 based on your availability and program needs
Start date: As soon as background checks are completed
Status: Part-time, with potential to grow to full-time (~$38,000/year) as enrollment increases, or remain part-time if you prefer

What You’ll Do

• Greet children and families and support calm, connected morning arrivals

• Guide children through gentle transitions, practical life activities, and play-based learning

• Maintain a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment

• Collaborate with teammates on communication, routines, and consistent care

• Follow Nebraska Child Care Licensing rules and center policies

Minimum Requirements

• Availability: At least 2 days per week, M/W/F 7:15am–12:15pm (additional hours scheduled around your availability; total 10–25 hours/week)

• Clearances: Able to pass all background checks required by Nebraska Child Care Licensing

• One of the following pathways:

  • 1,500 hours of childcare experience, OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, OR

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, OR

  • Current enrollment in a college or university Early Childhood Education program

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $15-$18/ hour (commensurate with experience and credentials)

• Child care benefit: Free tuition for up to two children (ages 18 months–6 years), subject to classroom availability and licensing ratios.

• Potential pathway to full-time (~$38,000/year) as enrollment grows (or remain part-time if preferred)
