About Us

Teach Peace Preschool & Childcare, located at 6300 A St in Lincoln, Nebraska, provides a nurturing, child-centered environment where toddlers and preschoolers cultivate independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, offering both full-day care and a part-day preschool option available from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. 

Our Philosophy:

At Teach Peace, we believe that early childhood is an essential time to nurture curiosity, connection, and compassion. Our approach is child-centered and relationship-based, supporting toddlers and preschoolers as they practice the skills they need to grown into confident, capable, and caring individuals. 

Our Space:

Our thoughtfully-prepared classroom and outdoor spaces provide environments where children are free to make choices, solve problems, and engage in purposeful play. Children are taught to value and care for our shared space and our learning/play materials. They are taught to care for themselves by gentle guidance toward spaces that meet the needs they are experiencing, such as utilizing our "cozy corner" when they need quiet time, or our "busy body" area when they need more physically active play.

Our Work & Play:

Through a variety of age-appropriate activities that support independence, creativity, and collaboration, we aim to help children develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Social-emotional learning is a core value of our program. Children are taught to recognize their feelings, express themselves respectfully, and relate with empathy to others. These skills build a strong foundation for future learning, friendships, and success in school and life.

Our educators serve as caring guides, carefully observing and supporting each child’s developmental journey. We value consistency, gentle guidance, and clear expectations to create a secure and joyful learning environment.
